Cultivate Burning Desire

Without burning desire to succeed and achieve something, we simply won’t put enough effort to get things done. Not to mention there are trials and errors to be made and if we fail it is so easy to just give up. This is why there so many people who don’t succeed, because they lack the inner power that push them forward when times are tough. So how do you get through this? Cultivate a burning desire. Be hungry for success. You have to crave progress and feel good about it. Because when you have burning desire, you possess positive view of life. So even though times are tough, you still feel that there’s great chance that you will succeed and you feel motivated about that. But how do you gain burning desire in the first place?

Dream A Better Life

Life here on Earth isn’t easy. If you are like the 90% of the people, chances are you were probably not born in a rich family. In that case, you have to find ways to make a living, to put food on the table, to pay for roof over your head, to get a good education. But things don’t always workout the way we want them to be. Even though we planned things out very carefully things still go wrong along the way. And guess what? It’s very draining emotionally, physically and mentally. This mediocre condition of life should make you dream of a better life and that’s where you get your burning desire.

Find Ways to Serve Millions of People With You Love to Do

Now that you have a burning desire to pursue a better life, what you need now is to find your purpose in life. Find your passion. Your passion is your calling. It’s the one that you feel so good about doing and at the same time helping hundreds and thousands of people improve the quality of their lives. Listen to what life is telling you. Do you see things in your life that you desire to have the power to change it? Pay attention to that.

Learn and Hone Your Skills

Once you have found ways to help other people, the next thing that you need to do is to acquire and sharpen the necessary skills to get you there. In other words, if you find that your gift is on public speaking, inspiring and motivating others, then sign up for public speaking classes and practice that. If you find that your gift is on writing, then you should sign up for writing class and spend lots of time writing. Your goal here should be to become the very best you can possibly be in the field that you’re in. This way you will attract a lot of people’s attention with the value that you have to offer.

Should You Chase or Attract Success?

My question for you today is should you chase or attract success? You probably start analyzing your belief as soon as you heard this. But don’t worry because I’m going to help you decide on how to answer that.

I’ve been hearing people who teach about success and they hammer so much on chasing success. It’s something many people believe will work because it’s what they been told to do and also what they see other people are doing. It’s based on social proof. As a result, they have adapted to this certain way of thinking.

But my question to you is this… Is this the most effective way to become successful? The answer is it depends . It depends on how you define success. It depends on what makes you happy. It depends on what you believe.

But base on my own observation there are three ways people go about it. The first one is measuring success by how much hard work you do. Many us think that we are not successful and the reason why is because we don’t work hard enough. Do you think that’s true?

But if you would think about it hard enough you would probably find out that it’s not 100% true. Why? Because if you would look around you will find that there are so many people who work so hard until they are old and still haven’t scratch the surface of success.

Here’s the second one. On the opposite end of what I just mentioned, there are other people who do minimal work. I mean, they don’t even have to do any strenuous physical work. All they have to do is talk for an hour and viola! Paychecks worth thousands of dollars  are already written for them. So what does that say to you? It says that hard work alone is not the only way. And it’s probably not the most effective way of acquiring success.

The third kind of method that people use is the wishy-washy method. What they would do is just wish for nice house, nice car, vacation and all luxurious stuff without having to do any work. They don’t work on chasing success of their business and they don’t work on themselves. They just wait for it to just fall in to their laps.

Okay, so If it’s not just physical hard work and it’s not being wishy-washy  that makes one successful, then what is? There is another way. A way which you attract opportunities to you instead of blindly chasing them away or wishing for them. Well, how do you do that? You do that by first figuring what your ideal lucrative choice of career is and then work on becoming the kind of person that tend to become successful in it. This is called the attraction method. It’s in between sloppy aggressive and completely passive.

To attract, you need to become attractive. In order to become attractive. You need to possess certain qualities and skill sets, which are on demand. If you would observe this world what do you see that everyone is looking for? Solutions to human problems. We all want a better life. If you can develop a set of skills or product that will solve many people’s problem what’s going to happen is they can’t help but become attracted to you. They will admire you, respect you, look for you and follow you.

Now, which one do you think is more ideal when it comes to success, is it knocking on doors, passively waiting for things to happen or is it by creating value that makes people search for you and want to give you their money? You decide.

Is mental clarity starting to become an issue to you? I noticed recently that a friend of mine spends a long time thinking about what to do with his business and his personal life. Especially in the past, I viewed him as someone who’s very strategic with his plans. I actually consider him an intelligent person. Someone who can see things better than others.

But not long ago, there came a point when a business decision had to be made. And things were just scrambled up. He said to me, “Ok, let me think about what we can do.”  And he would sit in the car looking up and I would wait for several minutes for him. By the way his face wasn’t showing any signs of ‘aha moments’ I knew that a light bulb hadn’t struck his head.

So I waited patiently for awhile, perhaps another 15 minutes to give him more time. Then I said, “Well…”. Then he turned to me and so much to my surprise his respond was, “I can’t.. It’s hard to decide right now.”

The point of this matter is, when our minds are not clear its very challenging to make the right decision. So what happen is we usually decide not to decide. If you are a business owner, a parent, a student sometimes it is scary to make an important decision. It’s scary because a single mistake may cause you time, money, energy, good relationships, GPA and so forth. So as much as possible, it is very important to have a clear mind and I hope this bits of information will help you with that.

Try a Bit of Minimalism

What does minimalism mean? I came across it online not long ago and somebody described it as living a simpler life. I like the sound of that, especially when it comes to doing things. And that’s because I’m not a big fan of complicated stuff. So to make it simpler to understand, I see it as a reduction of distractions. That if you’re spending your time on something that doesn’t help you reach your goal, then you should eliminate it.

The next question is what distractions are we talking about here? Is it your dog jumping around your couch trying to remind you that its lunch time? No. Not that kind of distraction. So to be clear, I’m talking about the things and activities that’s causing your mind stress and mental block. By simply taking away some of the things that’s distracting you(the unimportant things), you’re saving your brain some trouble in dealing with some mental clutter. When you get rid of stuff that that doesn’t serve you, your mind is using less effort to think, thus clarity of mind occurs.

Hit The Gym

There are times that mental blurriness is not just a symptom of getting old. So don’t worry about that. Sometimes, the reason why we don’t have mental clarity is because of poor blood circulation that goes to our brain. So at this point, your best bet is to show yourself some love by going to the gym and get that blood circulation in your body.

As a personal trainer, I understand that not everyone like to go to the gym. Sometimes it’s not really because they are incapable of making these changes, but how they view the world. So I’m veering off the topic here a little bit just to shed some light. But here is the magic word, Paradigm Shift. That is what you need. If you’re view of exercising is negative, then you will feel negative about it. It’s not real. It’s a false sense of belief that’s got to be broken.

And you do that by facing it head on.. If you go the gym enough, not because I said so, but because you truly desire to live longer and healthier and massively reduce foggy mind, later on that negative view of yours about this healthy lifestyle is going to change. I’ve seen it happen. So give it a shot, my friend.

Organize Your Environment

Another thing you can do is to organize your environment. Something about having a place or an office in order gives us mental clarity. And you probably agree that when things are very chaotic in the place we work we find it hard to find what we are looking for.

On the side note, this goes hand in hand with applying minimalism. Just imagine how easier for your brain to process information when clutter or distractions are greatly reduced and your work place is well organize. What would it look like then? I’d say you’re probably double your productivity and effectiveness.

Today, I’d like to talk about a very important topic. Quite recently i stumbled upon a video that caught my attention. And that’s what you are about to experience in this article. The topic is about how and why the rich people get richer and the poor get poorer.

Lets start by recognizing an important thing here, which is how we spend our money. In our habitual attitude in spending money there are two things that will determine our potential financial networth. And here they are…

The Assets

The first one is called assets. Assets are the things that we spend our money on in exchange for potential return in investment(ROI). What are those things? They can be rental properties like houses, stores, storage, golf course, restaurant, jet ski and they can even be certain type of education, which leads you to generating more income.

The Liabilities

The second important thing to learn about are liabilities. Liabilities are the things you spend money on, yet don’t put money in your bank. Instead, they take money away.

What are some examples of liabilities? Liabilities are like personal properties, vehicles, house, vacation expenses, unhealthy habits such as smoking, drinking, gambling and so on.

The Take Away

So what valuable lesson to get out of this? If you’re like me you’re curious, thats great! I’d say its in the decision to put your money in palces where money itself works for you. This is what many rich people do. And its the reason why they get even richer.

So if you want to accumulate wealth and have enough money to spend on assets a wise thing to do is to spend more on assets rather and less on liabilities.

When it comes to life’s personal development, most of the time, if not all the time, we are where we are in life for reasons. Those reasons are because of how we live our lives. It’s about the choices and decisions that we make. Other reasons are because of natural causes, which are out of our control, such as whether we are going to be born in a rich or poor family or which genetic make up we would live with for the rest of our lives.

But enough of those things that we have no control over. The important thing to discuss here is how we can enhance positive change in our lives and I’m referring to the ones that we have control over.

There are many reasons why we should place our interest and attention in enhancing positive life experiences, those reasons are commonly known as better health, longer life, have more energy, become more intelligent, stronger physically and emotionally, have better friends, find a great partner and build a great life with, experience more peace, become wealthier financially and spiritually and ultimately experience life to the fullest with least regret whatsoever.

Sounds great. But that’s not the end of work that we have to do. This leads us to the next important question, which is how are we going to make this a reality? How are we going to start to make it come to life and not just a mere wishful thinking? By the way, what is the big difference between wishful thinking and actually achieving the things that we want? The big difference lies in taking consistent actions towards the achievement of the goal. And that’s exactly what we are going to get into next.

Let Go of the Things of the Past

Let us say you already have a goal set for yourself, the first thing that you need to do in order for you to start the positive change is to let go of the past. The reason why it’s very difficult for us to change is because we cling onto our past or unwilling to let go of it completely.

What does that mean? If your past have brought you to the life that you have now and you continue to live that way its going to be virtually impossible to make the change. You have to welcome the light to let go of darkness. They cannot co-exist with each another.  Change only comes when your thinking and actions have changed and is geared towards the future.

It’s going to be difficult to stop smoking if you keep associating yourself with people who are constantly smoking, drinking and doing drugs. It’s the same thing with other bad habits that you want to get rid of. The lesson here is to remove yourself out of the environments and groups of people who are congruent with the things that you want to leave behind.

The reason why is because they constantly affect the way you think and the decisions that you make. This is the most critical part of the change. So if you are serious about making a positive change in your life you must be willing and ready to sacrifice the negative past.

That past means, group of friends, environment or other things that influences your mind and entice you to keep doing the same things again and again and produce the same mediocre results. If you want to quit doing drugs then stay away from people who do drugs, if you want to be more successful in life and stop being a loser, then stop hanging out with people who don’t have the desire or intention to improve the quality of their lives.

Albert Einstein has a word for it and its called insanity. “Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.”

Welcome and Embrace the Future

In order for us to move forward to something better it is vital to set a destination and constantly focus your mind on it. Your future is your goal. It means that you have to set a goal, which is a much higher standard than the one you have in the past. What do you want to achieve? What better things that you want to possess and experience? Discover them, get in touch with them and know them well as if you are building a relationship, because it is indeed a relationship with future.

What is it like to welcome and to embrace your ideal future? Like it was mentioned earlier it’s a relationship between you and your future(your ideal life). In order for you to have strong connection with it you need to build it, nourish it, communicate with it. Treat it as if it’s a living thing. You do that by talking about it, write about it, read about it. Constantly looking for ways to achieve it with conviction.
